Favorite Ring

I purchased this at San Japan a few weeks ago. It's anything but practical, but it's SO. MUCH. FUN!!!

Tough Luxe

There's a big trend for the fall... It's called looking like a badass rockstar. Biker jackets, leather shorts, lace up boots, studded platforms, thin chains, tight lace dresses, fingerless gloves, ripped leggings. This of course means that any online store or mall is a complete hell for me, because I want to buy every single thing and I CAN'T. I have a weakness for anything that's black or silver and has leather, metal (chains, grommets, studs), lace, or sequins. And if you go into any store right now, that's exactly what you'll see. It's like dangling a steak in front of a starving dog. It's just. Plain. Wrong. Okay?

For example:

I think I'll go pray to win the lottery now...

August: New Car & Back to School

Since the government issued the Cash for Clunkers program, my parents decided it was time to trade in our old Ford Expedition for a new car. I'm going to miss that car... We had it for almost 10 years. The last song it played was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Iz. I nearly cried... [Actually, I did cry whenever we sold cars when I was younger.] I'm such a baby.

:*(

Anyway, the end result is that we have a new Mazda 3 hatchback! It "belongs" to me, and it is bright RED RED RED. Firey fire truck engine red. Chile peppers roasting in the sun red. Yes, I think you get the idea. It has a black interior and is quite sporty looking but also gas efficient. I am so excited about it! I'm driving a lot more now. :D

Danger danger danger lol.

AND THE KEY IS LIKE A SWITCHBLADE. For some reason that is highly amusing. I'll use it to ward of attackers. You guys probably think I'm crazy, but you'll have one in your hand someday and THEN YOU'LL SEE.

August 24th was the first day of school. Senior year! It's been tough so far but also fun. I have high hopes. We'll see. :)

August: A Little Celebration

Two random picture that were on my camera from my 2nd cousin's birthday party. She turned five! :)

My older cousin made the cake. It was amazing!

Godzilla likes cake. Om nom nom.

August: San Japan

Finally uploaded the pictures on my camera. Here's a few from mid-August in San Antonio.

Fun day! You meet a lot of interesting people at conventions. But remind me not to wear heels next time. [Still have scars haha.]

Peanut Brain

My delightful companion, Mao. She enjoys participating in smart-cat activities, such as velcroing herself to the floor, licking the wall, licking the carpet, licking the dogs, lying underneath the sink faucet, and doing weird contort-y things, as show below.

Zara! ++

Today I went to Zara for the first time ever. If you don't know what Zara is, go check it out. (www.zara.com) Such a fabulous store. The clothes are stylish and some are amazingly cheap! I ended up buying two oversized t-shirts. My brother saw a lot of stuff he liked, so it's great for guys as well.

Bonus: A beautiful Asian stranger was shopping at Zara with his (also attractive) blonde friend. Oh, Austin, you aren't as devoid of gorgeous men as I thought.

($30 each. A little pricey, but completely worth it.)

Then I went to the MAC store and bought a Mineralize Skinfinish. My other powder finally ran out so I decided to try this out. We'll see how it works out.

(MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural)

Finally, we went to this wonderful little cafe and ordered spring rolls and Mexican coke. I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures of the food. Here's this though..

Some other random purchases from last week:

(Very useful Chinese & Japanese dictionaries. ;D )

(Adidas Superstars! Finally. Ummmm, and some socks.)

Mall

On Sunday, Zaq, Adrian, and I went to the mall for the first time in weeks. Of course, I went completely insane and bought out the entire mall due to my current obsession with studs, grommets, chains, and leather. Also, while we where in the brand new Hot Topic, "Don't Jump" started playing. ...I screamed.

Yeah, it was a good day.
